
Bonnie Hanson has been the Associate Administrator at Horizon Medical Center, an HCA facility in the suburbs of Nashville, TN, since 2008, with oversight of all ancillary and support departments. Her main passion in healthcare revolves around the patient experience. After completing her Administrative Fellowship in 2005, within one year, Bonnie transitioned from Director of Patient Relations role to Associate Administrator role at Riverside Community Hospital after acceptance into HCA's COO Executive Development Program.
Bonnie is co-founder and Board Member of AHCLA, with a personal vision that all Asian early careerists, mid careerists and senior executives will be able to connect through mentoring, career development, life long learning and networking opportunities. Bonnie is a member of the Healthcare Executives Forum of Middle Tennessee and previously served as Board member of the Healthcare Executives of Southern California. She also serves on the Board of Trustees in the GWU Health Services Management and Leadership Alumni Association.
Bonnie earned a Bachelor's degree in Health Promotion Disease Prevention Studies from the Univers's School of Medicine and a Master's degree in Health Services Administration from the George Washington University. During her time as a student at USC, being of partial Asian decent, Bonnie was very involved in the biracial/multiracial awareness movement, and created the USC Hapa Club, a student association focused on sharing experiences among those with multiracial backgrounds. She is bilingual in Korean and has a passion to serve the Asian American community.
