Vincent H.S. Lee

Chief Executive Officer, Hawaii Health Systems Corporation, Oahu Region

Vincent Lee was appointed regional chief executive officer of the Hawaii Health Systems Corporation in October 2001. Mr. Lee oversees operations for three hospitals in the Oahu region (Leahi Hospital, Maluhia, and Kahuku Medical Center*), which includes more than 600 employees and 50 physicians, specializing in long-term and rural healthcare.

Previously, Mr. Lee served as vice president of government/community relations of the St. Francis Healthcare System of Hawaii, and prior to that was its administrative vice president for 20 years.

Mr. Lee possesses extensive healthcare experience as an administrator, public policy advocate, and community services.

His areas of interest include access to long-term and rural healthcare, development of community-government projects and initiatives, and an on-going commitment to serve on a number health-service and community boards.

For the latter, Mr. Lee presently serves as the Healthcare Association of Hawaii
long-term care division chair, a former board member of the Institute for Diversity in Health Management since 2004, and being a fellow for the American College of Healthcare Executives. Additionally, Mr. Lee has been an active board member of the Maximum Legal Service Corporation and recently a board member of Hawaii Health Systems Corporation.

Mr. Lee earned his masters of public health degree at the University of Hawaii in 1975, and social work at George Williams College in 1970.
